Zeflávio Teixeira

Zéflávio Telles de Menezes Teixeira, born in 1950 in Belo Horizonte, is a autodidact painter and illustrator, whose learning has started in his childhood by the master Guinard, who nurtured his talent, his freedom and strong creativity.

He started his carrier with graphic design projects for the « Belga Mineira ». Later on he realized illustration for the Formula 1 of Honda, and for the album covers of Egberto Gismonti, Circus, and John Mac Laughlin.

He illustrated more than a 100 books, which many won international prices. He took part to many exhibitions, some of which are the Art Museum Of Pampulha in Belo Horizonte, Pinacoteca in São Paulo…

Established in bahia since 1996, Zéflavio is a complete artist who always surprises us with his poetical work and who is – the least we can say – multitalented, actively creating in the fields of graphic design, painting, sculpture and photography.
