Mário Cravo Junior

Mário Cravo Junior, born in 1923 in Salvador (BA/BRA), is a drawer, a painter, and a sculptor, part of the first generation of contemporary artists of Bahia.
During his 70 years of activity, he put together a great number of exhibitions, both individuals and collectives.


His works have been adquired by many public spaces and museums through Brazil and the world, some of which are the Modern Art Museum of Bahia, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Minas Gerais, the Fine Art Museum of Porto Alegre, the museum Costa Pinto in Salvador, the museum Hermitage in Russia, the Art Museum of New York, the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis and the Modern Art Museum of Jérusalem.
